About The Academy

Welcome to the Sunflower Drama Academy. We help children aged 3 - 11 develop their confidence and social development through specially designed drama workshops. Drama is a wonderful tool to support personal, social and emotional growth, and we believe that our workshops do just that!

Our workshops have been specially designed to help all children blossom in confidence, whether they’re struggling at school, at home, or are simply wanting to experience the joys of drama workshops. Our mission is to provide a kind, happy and warm environment for children to grow and develop. We believe in positive praise and encouraging all children to see their full potential.

Our workshops are all run by trained and qualified teachers, who have extensive experience working in the primary school setting.

Every workshop has a unique personal/social/emotional development focus called our ‘Sunflower’s Spotlight’. Examples of our Sunflower's Spotlight themes include: kindness, empathy, feelings, resilience and courage. Every workshop is finished with a story relating to the week’s theme.

The Sunflower Drama Academy has been Highly Commended in the Kent Mental Wellbeing Awards and recognised as a Finalist for Best Customer Service in the Kent Business Awards.
